Matthew 25 Disaster Preparedness & Response
Parish Social Ministry Outreach Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Houma – Thibodaux
Does your Parish have a Matthew 25? By definition, Matthew 25 is the parish volunteer disaster preparedness and response program for the diocese. However, we must remember that it is first a ministry and an ultimate opportunity for evangelization of God’s people. The name of the ministry is taken from Matthew 25: 31-40.
Planning and preparing for disaster can make a big difference in being safe and expediting recovery efforts in your parish. As we thank God for sparing us any major disasters in our diocese for the last nine (9!) years we don’t want to be complacent by not being prepared for this hurricane season.
Catholic Charities is holding refresher training throughout our diocese for your Matthew 25 Disaster Preparedness & Response Ministry. Please attend the meeting most convenient for you
