The Lenten Gumbo raises funds for the Good Samaritan Food Bank.  This group is comprised of approximaely 50 volunteers that are know as "The Gumbo Gang." These volunteers cook, serve and decorate for the six gumbo meals during the season of Lent. The meal is served from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Each week a different theme is presented to add to the fun and festivities.
